"Turkish through Songs" is an innovative and enjoyable course designed for learners at levels A2 and above. This course leverages the power of music to enhance your Turkish language skills, providing a unique and engaging learning experience. Through popular Turkish songs, you will improve your vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural understanding.

Participants will join two Zoom meetings:
Students will analyse two songs each week. After two weeks (4 songs), we will gather together in a Zoom meeting where students can ask questions about the songs. These can be questions about grammar, syntax, meaning, etc. In relation to the songs we will discuss the different themes, stories, cultural references, key phrases and words. We will also focus on correct pronunciation of difficult sounds and words.

However, under the tutelage of my teacher I have been able to acquire both a wide range of grammatical constructions and a significant vocabulary. The focus is not only on reading, writing and speaking, but also the cultural context of the Turkish language, historical and contemporary. I thoroughly recommend my teacher and the course taught, for the skills with which I have been provided in Turkish, as well as the enjoyment I have had whilst learning it.
